About Exam
Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has announced the Teacher Recruitment 2025 for PGT, TGT, and PRT posts in Army Public Schools across India. The recruitment will be conducted through the Online Screening Test (OST) 2025, followed by interviews, teaching skills, and computer proficiency assessments by respective schools. The OST Score Card will remain valid for life, enabling candidates to apply for teaching positions in any Army Public School.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility is determined as of 01 April 2025.
1. Age Limit
- Fresh Candidates (less than 5 years’ teaching experience): Below 40 years
- Experienced Candidates (minimum 5 years’ teaching experience in last 10 years): Below 57 years
- For Delhi/NCR Schools:
- PGT: Below 36 years
- TGT/PRT: Below 29 years
2. Educational Qualification
- PRT (Primary Teacher):
- Graduation with 50% marks
- B.El.Ed or 2-year D.El.Ed (NCTE recognized)
- Existing APS teachers with B.Ed (before 11 August 2023) are eligible (bridge course required later)
- TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher):
- Graduation in relevant subject with 50% marks
- B.Ed with 50% marks
- PGT (Post Graduate Teacher):
- Post Graduation in relevant subject with 50% marks
- B.Ed with 50% marks
3. Additional Requirement
- CTET/TET is not mandatory for appearing in OST.
- However, it is mandatory at appointment stage for TGT and PRT.
- Candidates without CTET/TET may be appointed on an ad-hoc basis, but must clear it within two years.
Selection Process
- Online Screening Test (OST): Computer-Based Test (CBT) with multiple-choice questions.
- Interview: Conducted by the Central Selection Board or respective schools.
- Teaching Skills & Computer Proficiency Test: Includes teaching demo and computer test. Language teachers may also face a language proficiency test.
- Document Verification.

- Questions: 200 MCQs
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
