The National Testing Agency (NTA), under the Ministry of AYUSH, conducts the National Teachers Eligibility Test (NTET) for candidates aspiring to teach in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Homoeopathy colleges across India. This test is mandatory for first-time applicants seeking teaching roles in AYUSH institutions.

Exam Name: NTET 2025 (Eligibility for Teaching in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani & Homoeopathy Colleges)

Purpose:
The NTET 2025 is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to determine eligibility for teaching positions in AYUSH colleges across India. It covers disciplines including Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Homoeopathy.

Application Fee:

  • – General / NRI / Foreign Candidates: ₹4000
  • – EWS / OBC-NCL: ₹3500
  • – SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender: ₹3000
  • – Payment Mode: Online (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / UPI)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • – Postgraduate Degree in Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy including:
  • • BAMS with MD/MS in Ayurveda
  • • BHMS with MD in Homoeopathy
  • • BUMS with MD in Unani
  • • Postgraduate degrees like MSc (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry) or Master of Public Health (MPH) are also accepted
  • – Minimum Age: 21 Years
  • – No upper age limit
  • – Minimum 50% marks required in the qualifying exam

Exam Pattern:

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Duration: 120 Minutes (2 Hours)
  • Type: Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Total Questions: 100
  • Maximum Marks: 100
  • Marking Scheme: +1 for each correct answer, no negative marking
  • Medium: English and Hindi (English version will prevail in case of discrepancy)
